Charisma Carpenter

 Charisma Carpenter (born July 23 1970) is an American actress from the United States. [1] She starred as Cordelia Chase in Buffy the Vampire's supernatural drama (1997-1999) along with the spin-off show Angel (1999-04). She also appeared in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas and Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell and Lacy in The Lying Game (2012–2013 strong>).

 



 

  Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada the daughter of Christine the bird sanctuary worker and Don Carpenter, a salesman. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandmother), French, German and German descent. Carpenter was a student at the Bishop Gorman high school in Las Vegas.[6] She was also a member of a song-and dance group that was active in Las Vegas Valley at nine years old.

 



 

  When Carpenter was 15, her family moved to Rosarito Beach, Baja California Mexico. She then moved to San Diego, California. She was a student at Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter was a frequent traveler throughout Europe following her graduation. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store, as an aerobics teacher, and property management. She was a cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.

 



 

  Henry Hubbard Jr. was an ex- San Diego officer and serial rapist who sought to subdue her and two of her male buddies while swimming in San Diego in 1991. During the struggle, both her friends and Hubbard were shotand forced him to flee the scene but both were able to escape the attack. Hubbard was arrested, convicted and sentenced to 56 years of prison for a string of rapes and robberies. Carpenter was able to bring Hubbard his police-issue flashlight to the beach. This flashlight provided crucial evidence in the case against Hubbard.

 



 

  Carpenter was No. Carpenter was ranked 31 on AskMen’s Top 99 Most Wanted Females of 2002[3031. 44 on their 2005 ranking. Carpenter said that she does not consider herself a sexual symbol even though she is. Carpenter was on the cover of Playboy magazine's June 2004 issue. The magazine also included her in a ten-page naked graphic. When asked by People magazine in 2005 whether she'd ever appear on Playboy again, she said, "I don't know. Playboy was a decision that I made for a very particular reason. Playboy was more than just a wise financial move but also an excellent option for my life circumstances. Following the birth of my son, I had gained 50 lbs during pregnancy. I wanted to be back to my old self. I wanted to appear at ease and attractive. I was thinking: "What if you went completely sexy?"
